Texas Governor Abbott Returns to Office After Hospital Stay
Gov. Greg Abbott returned to the Governor's Mansion on Sunday, just over two weeks after he was hospitalized with severe burns on his legs and feet. Abbott sustained second- and third-degree burns while vacationing in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, when he came into contact with scalding water. Though the burns were serious enough to require skin grafts, Abbott continued to work from his hospital room in Wyoming and later from the Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio. He officially resumed his duties at the mansion, stating he was "on the road to recovery."
