German Wooden Kitchen Furniture Exports to Rise in 2024
Germany Sees Decline in Wooden Kitchen Furniture Exports in 2023
According to recent market analysis, Germany experienced a decrease in wooden kitchen furniture exports in 2023. The total export volume fell to 761K units, a notable drop from the 882K units exported in 2022. This represents a year-over-year decline of 14%.
The value of these exports also saw a downturn. In 2023, Germany exported €909M worth of wooden kitchen furniture, compared to €1.03B in 2022. This signifies a 12% decrease in export value year-over-year.
The decline in exports comes after several years of fluctuating growth. From 2018 to 2022, the German export market for wooden kitchen furniture showed inconsistent trends. While 2019 saw a slight dip in export volume, a subsequent rise occurred in 2020. The highest point was reached in 2021 with 968K units exported. However, this was followed by a decline in both 2022 and 2023.
France, the United Kingdom, and the Netherlands were identified as the primary export destinations for German wooden kitchen furniture.
The overall performance of the German export market for wooden kitchen furniture reveals a period of instability. The recent decline in both volume and value suggests challenges and potential shifts within the industry.
