PSX Gains 279 Points Amid Bullish Trend
PSX Witnesses Bullish Trend, Gains 278.736 Points
KARACHI: The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) witnessed a bullish trend on Thursday, with the benchmark KSE-100 index gaining 278.736 points, or 0.58 percent, to close at 47,654.33 points.
The market opened at 47,379.01 points and continued to rise throughout the day, touching a high of 47,775.59 points.
A total of 329,388,109 shares were traded during the day, with a turnover of Rs 18.943 billion. Out of 350 companies that traded, shares of 214 advanced, 118 declined, and 18 remained unchanged.
The market capitalization increased by Rs 58.20 billion to reach Rs 7.112 trillion.
The highest increase was recorded in the shares of Nestle Pakistan, which rose by Rs 100 to close at Rs 6,300. Bata Pakistan also saw a significant gain of Rs 59.99, closing at Rs 2,120.
On the other hand, the biggest decline was recorded in the shares of Rafhan Maize, which fell by Rs 200 to close at Rs 9,800. Sanofi-Aventis also decreased by Rs 40.22, closing at Rs 810.
