South Korea's Inflation Eases to 2.7% in July
South Korean automaker Hyundai Motor Group has unveiled its ambitious roadmap for software-defined vehicles (SDVs), aiming to transform all its models into SDVs by 2025. This shift will involve standardizing the electrical and electronic architecture of their vehicles, enabling over-the-air (OTA) software updates for enhanced features and performance. The group also plans to introduce two new integrated controller platforms, dubbed IC1 and IC2, to streamline vehicle systems and enable advanced features like autonomous driving, connectivity, and personalized services. These controllers will centralize functions currently managed by multiple electronic control units (ECUs), improving efficiency and reducing complexity. Ultimately, Hyundai aims to transition to a service-oriented architecture (SOA) by 2030, allowing for a more flexible and customizable user experience within their vehicles.
