Seoul Office Transaction Volume Surges 24% in 2024

Seoul's office transaction volume saw a significant 24% year-on-year increase in the first half of 2024, reaching ₩5.9 trillion. This surge was primarily driven by a few large-scale deals, including the sale of SK Seorin Building and Centropolis Towers. Despite this overall increase, transaction volume in the second quarter specifically experienced a slight decline compared to the first quarter, landing at ₩2.8 trillion. This slowdown is attributed to rising interest rates and broader economic uncertainties, creating a more cautious investment environment.
