Fico, a new furniture brand founded by designers Andrea Trimarchi and Simone Farresin of Studio Formafantasma, debuted its first collection during Milan Design Week 2025. The inaugural collection emphasizes natural materials and traditional craftsmanship, showcasing pieces made from lava stone, wood, and woven plant fibers. Referencing both ancient and contemporary influences, the collection explores themes of ritual and domesticity, incorporating volcanic rock from Mount Etna and partnering with craftspeople to create unique, textured surfaces.
